This month we will celebrate our Semiquincentennial, the 250th Anniversary of our country! As Elks this has a special significance because our order is distinctly American. We hope you will join us at the lodge on July 4th for our All-American Dock Party as we celebrate this once in a lifetime event.

Last month we celebrated Flag Day and Father’s Day at the lodge. We had great turnouts for both of these, and I hope you were able to join us. We had some of the Veterans from Lassen’s Veterans Nursing Home join us for an afternoon of fishing and lunch on the river on June 16th. We had our annual Kids Art and Music Day with more than 20 children spending the day having fun and being creative, and we started our Summer Reading in the Park with our local law enforcement officers.

Friday nights at the lodge are really the place to be! This month members of the Clay County Emergency Management team will be talking to us about Hurricane Preparedness on July 24th. At the end of the month the officers will once again be cooking and serving dinner on the 5th Friday, Be sure to sign up and join us for these nights as well as our 2nd Friday Karaoke and 3rd Friday Trivia nights.
