It’s hard to believe the 61st Annual FLOE Conference being held at the beautiful Shores Resort & Spa in Daytona Shores, September 19-20, 2024, is just right around the corner. Friday night entertainment will be provided by the Deep Creek Ladies of Elks. A Friday golf outing is planned for those interested. The FLOE Angel Reverse Draw tickets benefiting the Florida Elks Children’s Therapy Services are now on sale. Tickets are available for a donation of $20 each. Tickets are also available for our Annual Conference Raffle with three great prizes. 1st prize is a 2-night hotel stay at Shores Resort and Spa in Daytona Shores with a $600 Visa gift car, 2nd prize is a Northern Tool quiet generator with $150 Visa gift card and 3rd prize is a Yeti 18 soft sided cooler w/adult beverage and a $100 Visa gift card. On Monday July 1, 2024, during the Grand Lodge Convention in Austin Texas there was a workshop for all ladies of the Elks across the country to share ideas for fundraising and other activities from their lodges. This is the first time anything like this has been offered and we are extremely proud that Florida was the host of the workshop. The event was a huge success with standing room only. Just a reminder, EVERY lady Elk, wife of an Elk and widow of an Elk are members of FLOE, regardless of affiliation with a lodge ladies’ organization. There are no applications to complete nor dues to pay. How active a lady chooses to be is at her discretion, but she remains a member.
